Hydroxypropyl starch ether (HPS) is a white, fine powder obtained by modifying natural plant-based starch, subjecting it to a high-degree etherification reaction, and then spray-drying; it contains no plasticizers. It is entirely distinct from conventional starch or modified starch.

Application Fields
It can be used as an admixture for cement-based, gypsum-based, and lime-calcium products. It exhibits excellent compatibility with other construction admixtures. When combined with hydroxypropyl methylcellulose ether (HPMC), it provides thickening effects, promotes internal structural development, enhances crack resistance, and improves workability. The addition of modified starch ether can significantly reduce the dosage of HPMC.
Precautions
Recommended dosage: 0.055%–0.1%, which can also reduce the dosage of methyl cellulose ether by approximately 0.1%.
Packaging: 25 kg per bag.
Storage: Store in a cool, dry place. To prevent moisture from penetrating, reseal any opened bags and ensure that stacked packages do not exceed one pallet. Shelf life is no more than one year.

According to the Gefahrstoffverordnung, this product is classified as non-hazardous. Accident prevention rules related to dust protection (VBG No. 119) must be observed. This product is categorized as ST1. A safety data sheet can be provided upon request.
