Building Materials and Architectural Coatings

‌HPMC‌
In putty, mortar, and self leveling materials, HPMC delays water evaporation through an efficient water locking mechanism, ensuring sufficient hydration of cement and improving bond strength and crack resistance. Its thermo reversible gel property (gel point 50 – 90 ℃) requires high gel temperature models in summer construction to avoid sudden thickening of the slurry. The dosage is usually 0.1% -0.5%, and excessive dosage can reduce the compressive strength of the hardened body.

‌HEC‌
As a non-ionic thickener, HEC can adjust the rheological properties in architectural coatings, prevent pigment settling, and improve coating uniformity and adhesion. Its temperature resistance is superior to CMC, suitable for wide temperature range construction environments, and its viscosity is stable within the pH range of 2-12, making it an ideal additive for high-performance interior wall paint.

Printing paste (synthetic thickener)
Although mainly used for textile printing and dyeing, some anionic synthetic thickeners (such as polyacrylic acid) have been extended to architectural coating systems to enhance the thixotropy and anti sagging properties of colorants. It can achieve the "shear thinning" behavior in coatings: the viscosity decreases during construction for easy brushing, and after standing, it recovers high viscosity to prevent dripping, while enhancing the clarity of the printed contour.

putty powder

The company produces hydroxypropyl methyl cellulose, hydroxyethyl methyl cellulose, hydroxyethyl cellulose, carboxymethyl cellulose, and polyanionic cellulose. Widely used in the fields of medicine, construction, synthetic resin, petroleum extraction, ceramics, daily chemical products, etc., it is an energy-saving and environmentally friendly innovative product actively advocated by the Ministry of Construction of China.

mortar

HPMC can significantly improve the construction performance of mortar products, with good viscosity and ductility. After adding cellulose ether, it has good smoothness, dispersibility, and water retention, thereby enhancing the bonding strength of the substrate.

Oil drilling shale hydration expansion

PAC forms a dense mud cake in the saltwater system, inhibiting shale hydration expansion; CMC relies on molecular chain winding to increase viscosity, but is easily affected by electrolytes; Due to the temperature limitation of gel, HPMC is often used as an auxiliary thickening agent rather than a main fluid loss reducer.
